35 Twenties

After a slowish week the Mustang carp got back to normal this weekend and at least 15 carp were banked from  all over. Peg 14 produced three bites in a night for George Parsons, who's best fish was a 23lb mirror, a carp that Viv Shears stocked last November at just 16lb! My old mate James Furness had 9 bites from peg 3 and banked 7 carp to upper doubles. We had another two new twenties out from peg 11 along with fish caught from 2,4,6,8,9,10 and 12. I now know that there are at least 35 different twenties in Mustang the fish are really doing well and stacking on the pounds.
Beds of pellets are still working best, but 8-10mm trout or carp pellets are most effective, not the micro or CSL pellets that break down in five minutes. Nash Scopex or Monster Squid boilies mixed in with the pellets works a treat with a PVA bag over the top. I have not seen anyone do very well with particle baits in the last couple of weeks.
Sorry for a moan but can I please ask anyone who comes to the fishery not to throw their unused bait in the edge before they leave - thank you.
Can I also please remind everyone that pike fishing is not allowed until October. I know some decent pike are being spotted, but they are fragile until the water temperature starts to drop so I do not want them stressed and caught in the warmer months. I have had two anglers start spinning for them this week, which has really bugged me as I don't allow lures on the venue or pike fishing until October and one pike was killed.

I hope you like the pic's
