After a patchy week on Mustang the fish are now showing signs of getting back on the feed. I've also been away a few days so I'm also unsure what fish came out earlier in the week. The high air pressure and north-easterly winds have not helped, but I'm happy to report some nice fish have been out and yesterday I had two different anglers break their PB's with cracking fish, which made my day.
The fish are well spread out and moving around very quickly. They love a fresh wind so it is worth checking the weather before you come to try and predict where the main group will be. Peg 14 has been the hot swim this week. One bloke had three in a night and I think it has produced fish most days, I counted 40 carp in there yesterday. The fish have been also showing a lot in front of peg 4. Peg 3 has also still been in good form.
simple pop-up rigs with light leads are working really well fished over a good scattering of decent boilies, pellets and corn.
I have some nice articles in a few magazines this month, which give some good info about the fishery and how I fish pressured waters - well worth checking out.
I hope you like the pic's.
