Upper Twenties

Mustang has been in very good form since I last posted, stacks of carp have been out including four different upper-twenties. Commons of 28lb, 26lb 8oz and 26lb have been landed along with a 27lb mirror, which I saw last out in September 2011 at 23lb. Plenty of low twenties out as well along with many pretty doubles.
Large, but tight beds of bait are working best still. Boilies and pellets still seem best along with a decent pop-up rig.

I hope you like the pics

Ripping Up the Bottom

Mustang is still on good form and with only one angler on today (who banked a 20lb mirror within 10 minutes of casting) the fish are ripping up the bottom. The water is very colored, flat spots are coming up all over along with big patches of fizzing and rolling fish.
One guy had seven fish on Friday night during his first trip to the lake. He baited heavily with 20 spods on one spot and topped up after each bite with another 10 spods. Pellets and decent boilies produced the goods.

The fish are well spread out today, I've seen them in all the bays and having it big time in the open water in front of peg 2,6,10 and 12.

I hope you like the pics.
