Big Hits

I have honestly lost count of how many fish have been banked from Mustang Lake in the last five days. We've had some good anglers down and the fish have been really munching. Most anglers have run out of bait during their session.
Big beds of pellet and boilie are doing the job and I would say Nash Monster Squid is the top bait. Yesterday there were 15 carp, some real stunners, banked between four anglers and they came from all four sides of the lake, so they're nice and spread out.

We are closed this weekend for the BCAC UK Carp singles match, but we're open as normal from Sunday 17th afternoon.

Hope you like the pic's.

Low Air Pressure Feed Up

Mustang Lake has not been busy this week, but the anglers who have been down have got their rewards in these great feeding conditions. Andy Knights had six takes last night, with the best fish being a cracking 24lb common. He has had to go home and get more bait for the rest of his 24 hours!
A mix of boilies, pellet and corn is an ideal bait to spod out generously in one area. Beds of boilies and pop-ups fished over the top are still working. The fish are very hungry after spawning and this low air pressure we've got at the moment is making them feed big time - lets hope it stays that way.

Just a quick reminder that next weekend (15th am - 17th am June), Mustang is holding the BCAC UK carp match so will be shut. We will be open as normal as normal Sunday 17th in the afternoon.

I hope you like the pics

Venue of the month

I'm very proud to have Mustang Lake chosen by Total Carp as their top venue in the UK this month. It means a lot to me that all of the work that has gone into the day-ticket water has been recognised by the country's biggest selling carp magazine - many thanks.

The fish finished spawning last week and are on the feed big time in these cool conditions. Several anglers are having multiple hits from all over the lake. Big beds of boilies (Monster Squid or Cell) and pellets are working a treat. In these conditions the guys who bring the bait and have got their presentation right are having hits. Last night Richard Brown banked five fish (including a couple of twenties) from peg two and a guy in peg six also had five fish. Both were fishing half way out over a good bit of bait.

Half a dozen fish have also been caught of the surface this week, so don't forget your floater kit for some bonus fish.

I hope you like the pic's.
